Luetkemeyer Throwing Out First Pitch at Hannibal Cavemen Game Versus Springfield Sliders

Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) will be throwing out the first pitch Sunday afternoon, June 7, as the Hannibal Cavemen battle the Springfield Sliders of Illinois in the inaugural weekend of the newly formed Prospect League.
          Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) will be throwing out the first pitch Sunday afternoon, June 7, as the Hannibal Cavemen battle the Springfield Sliders of Illinois in the inaugural weekend of the newly formed Prospect League.
 
          Luetkemeyer, a former minor league prospect for the Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates and all-conference baseball player at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, will take to the field just prior to the 1:05 p.m. matchup at Clemens Field in Hannibal.
 
          “I am looking forward to enjoying America’s pastime by rooting for the Hannibal Cavemen from the Fighting 9th District of Missouri,” Luetkemeyer said. “As someone who has played and coached baseball for many years, it is a real thrill to be throwing out the first pitch, celebrating with the fans and, of course, watching the Cavemen beat Springfield.”
