As a small farmer who remains concerned about the future of agriculture in our state, U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) will travel to the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia on Thursday to hear from family farmers and agricultural leaders. He will participate in a variety of agricultural activities and attend the traditional Governor’s Ham Breakfast.

“The State Fair reflects Missouri’s historic ties to the land and I look forward to celebrating that heritage by hearing from the hard-working folks in our agriculture industry who have concerns about their future,” Luetkemeyer said. “As a small farmer, I really appreciate the lengths that the State Fair goes to promote our farmers and ranchers and their way of life.”

 The itinerary below takes place on the Missouri State Fairgrounds, 2503 W. 16^th Street, Sedalia, Missouri 6530:

 8 a.m. - Governor’s Ham Breakfast, Director’s Tent

10:00 a.m. – Press Conference, Missouri Farm Bureau Building 

11:05 a.m. – Meet with Volunteer Firefighters, Fire Station

11:40 a.m. – Meet with Missouri Soybean & Corn Growers, Agriculture Building   

12:05 p.m. – Meet with Missouri Cattlemen, Missouri Beef House

12:55 p.m. – Meet with Missouri Pork Producers, Pork Place

1:15 p.m.  – Meet with Missouri Dairy Producers, Gerken Dairy Center

1:30 p.m. -   Meet with MU College of Agriculture Dean, MO-AG Theater
