In recognition of his consistent commitment to conservative principles on a wide variety of issues, U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) has received the Defender of Liberty Award from the American Conservative Union (ACU) after scoring a 100 percent rating for 2010.

“I am extremely honored that the ACU has recognized my service to the people of the 9^th District by fighting for fiscal restraint, protecting our liberty, promoting personal responsibility, protecting traditional values and strengthening our national security,” Luetkemeyer said.  “I look forward to continuing to represent common sense conservative values.”

 Founded in 1964, the ACU is the oldest and largest grassroots conservative organization in the country. Luetkemeyer received the award at a reception in Washington, D.C. earlier today.
