Citing his own rural education, U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) joined the House Rural Education Caucus to assist members of Congress in efficiently addressing the educational needs of rural students, schools and communities.

“As someone who received the benefits of a rural education, I believe that our children deserve the same quality education as those in big cities, and that’s why I joined the Rural Education Caucus,” said Luetkemeyer, who was raised and still lives in the small town of St. Elizabeth, Mo. “We don't need Washington telling our teachers and administrators how to do their jobs, but we do need Washington to support their efforts. I look forward to working across party lines to help our children receive the best education possible."

Other members of the caucus include Missouri Reps. Sam Graves (MO-6), who co-chairs the panel, Ike Skelton (MO-4) and Jo Ann Emerson (MO-8).
