U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) on Tuesday will present Westminster College with a framed resolution recognizing the Winston Churchill Memorial and Library on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., as America’s National Churchill Museum. The event will be held at 10 a.m. inside the museum on the Westminster campus.
Luetkemeyer sponsored the bi-partisan resolution that passed the House on June 15 declaring the Fulton library and museum as American’s National Churchill Museum. The bi-partisan resolution was co-sponsored by every member of the Missouri congressional delegation.
“Winston Churchill said, ‘Learn all you can about the history of the past, for how else can one even make a guess what is going to happen in the future,’ and I believe this special designation will contribute to that very notion,” Luetkemeyer said. “I am honored to have passed this resolution, and it is my hope it helps draw more people to this wonderful memorial.”
