The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste today named U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer  a Taxpayer Hero for his work during the first session of the 111^thCongress to protect the taxpayers hard-earned dollars.

The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste scored 120 House votes in 2009, and this year marks the twenty-first year of the Congressional Ratings. The mission of the group is to eliminate waste, mismanagement and inefficiency in government. 

“As the voice for the families of Missouri’s 9^thDistrict in Washington, I will continue to fight against job-killing tax increases and work to make government more efficient and accountable to the taxpayers,” Luetkemeyer said. “It is my goal to let the taxpayers keep more of their hard-earned money so that we can help boost our economy and end our growing dependence on the federal government.”
