Luetkemeyer Marks 'Date Which Will Live in Infamy': December 7, 1941

Today all Americans should take a moment to remember the sacrifice and bravery shown by our fighting men and women whose lives changed forever on the morning of December 7, 1941, when Imperial Japan attacked our naval base at Pearl Harbor.
Following is a statement from U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) marking the day Imperial Japan attacked Pearl Harbor:
“Today all Americans should take a moment to remember the sacrifice and bravery shown by our fighting men and women whose lives changed forever on the morning of December 7, 1941, when Imperial Japan attacked our naval base at Pearl Harbor. That terrifying day thrust us into the most destructive and deadly conflict the world has ever seen that forever left an indelible scar on our nation and its people. Four years after the Pearl Harbor attack, Americans celebrated freedom triumphing over tyranny but at a great and terrible cost. The events of that fateful morning at Pearl Harbor remind us all that our nation must remain vigilant at home and abroad against those who would seek to do us harm.”
