Luetkemeyer: New Budget Numbers Expose Massive Debt; Confirms that Government Spending Spree is a Disaster

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) today made the following statement after the release of updated budget information from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office and the Obama Administration’s Office of Management & Budget on the new federal deficit projections: “Despite countless warnings, this Administration moved forward with record spending, record deficits and as we can see, record debt, and it’s not over yet. This reckless path of out-of control spending will continue as the Majority tries to force through cap-and-trade legislation and a plan for the government takeover of health care. I have always been committed to fiscally responsible policies and remain seriously concerned that without fiscal discipline, our government will continue to put future generations deeper in debt.” ### |
