Luetkemeyer Skeptical of Vice President's Flawed Economic Sales Pitch to Missourians

After two intense weeks of meeting face-to-face with hundreds of hard-working Missouri families and small business owners, one thing is very clear: the Vice President's attempt to sell folks on an economic plan that spends too much, borrows too much and taxes too much will fall on deaf ears.
- U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) today issued the following statement in advance of the Vice President’s stop in Mid-Missouri tomorrow:
“After two intense weeks of meeting face-to-face with hundreds of hard-working Missouri families and small business owners, one thing is very clear: the Vice President’s attempt to sell folks on an economic plan that spends too much, borrows too much and taxes too much will fall on deaf ears. The folks I’ve heard from, beginning months ago and continuing today, are deeply skeptical of this taxpayer-financed spending spree, but unfortunately the Administration and liberal majority in Congress are tone deaf to their concerns. With all due respect to the Vice President, it is an insult to the hard-working folks of Missouri for him to try and peddle this reckless spending spree in our backyard.”
