Rebecca Pfanner Wins Top 9th District Art Piece in Annual Congressional Competition

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) today announced that Rebecca Pfanner, a 12th grader from Monroe City R-1 High School, has been selected as the 9th Congressional District winner of the Annual Congressional Art Competition.

“Missouri is home to many great artists and this annual competition provides a great opportunity to showcase the talents of students like Rebecca,” Luetkemeyer said. “I look forward to having her artwork displayed in our nation’s Capitol for all to enjoy.” 
 
Rebecca’s watercolor portrait entitled Bubba will join others from congressional districts around the country in the Cannon Tunnel at the U.S. Capitol, and she will have the opportunity to attend a ceremony in Washington, D.C., on June 17 to unveil all winning artwork from across the nation.
