Luetkemeyer Applauds Angel In Adoption Participant for Advocacy in Adoption Programs

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) is pleased to announce that Sandy Davis of Lake Saint Louis in being honored as a 2012 Angel in Adoption for her outstanding advocacy of adoption and foster care issues including her co-founding of Connecting Tomorrow’s Child, a non-profit organization that helps empower adoptive families by providing resources to educate and support those going through pre- and post-adoption difficulties.

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) is pleased to announce that Sandy Davis of Lake Saint Louis in being honored as a 2012 Angel in Adoption for her outstanding advocacy of adoption and foster care issues including her co-founding of Connecting Tomorrow’s Child, a non-profit organization that helps empower adoptive families by providing resources to educate and support those going through pre- and post-adoption difficulties.

“Investments in our foster care and adoption systems are a moral imperative and Sandy Davis’ outstanding commitment to adoption is a testament to that,” Luetkemeyer said. “We should all seek to follow Sandy’s example by focusing our time and energy to ensuring the survival and continued advancement of the adoption and foster care systems in order to protect our children, provide them with a loving home, and promote the belief that every child has the right to life.”

The Angels in Adoption program is the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s public awareness campaign and provides an opportunity for all members of Congress to honor the good work of their constituents who have enriched the lives of foster children and orphans in the United States and abroad. 

Another adoptive parent, Karen Clark, met Davis at a conference and has since guided Clark by listening to her and offering support and advice.

“As leader of an adoption support group, I turn to Sandy whenever I need information or personal advice,” Clark said. “She is always willing to take the time. She has truly been an angel for the St. Louis area adoption community as well as on the national stage."
