Government Stats Show Luetkemeyer Tops Missouri Congressional Delegation Attendance

Statistics kept by a private group that tracks the activities of Congress show that U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) was tops among all members of the Missouri Congressional delegation when it comes to showing up for work regularly.

Statistics kept by a private group that tracks the activities of Congress show that U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) was tops among all members of the Missouri Congressional delegation when it comes to showing up for work regularly.

Statistics compiled by GovTrack, created in 2004 and now a project of the private firm Civic Impulse LLC, show that Luetkemeyer  has made more than 99 percent of congressional votes held during his previous two terms in Congress and didn’t miss a single vote in the entire last half of 2012.

GovTrack statistics also show Luetkemeyer was one of only two members of the congressional delegation that missed fewer votes during their time in Congress than the median number for sitting members of the House and Senate. The House median was 2.2 percent while the Senate median was 2 percent.

“The people of my congressional district show up for work every day and they expect me to do the same, especially since they are the ones who hired and sent me to Washington to work on their behalf,” Luetkemeyer said.
