Columbia’s Austin Child Accepts Appointment to U.S. Military Academy at West Point

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) today announced that his nominee for the United States Military Academy at West Point, Austin Child of Columbia, has accepted an appointment to the academy as part of the 2017 graduating class.

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) today announced that his nominee for the United States Military Academy at West Point, Austin Child of Columbia, has accepted an appointment to the academy as part of the 2017 graduating class.

Child, a River Hills Academy graduate, was nominated by Luetkemeyer when the congressman previously served the people of the old 9th Congressional District. Child is the son of Mark and Jessica Child of Columbia. Child currently attends Norwich University in Northfield Vermont where he is studying mechanical engineering.
