Luetkemeyer Statement on Delay of Another Portion of the President's Health-Care Law

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) issued the following statement after it was reported there is yet another portion of the president’s health-care law that has been delayed

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) issued the following statement after it was reported there is yet another portion of the president’s health-care law that has been delayed:

“This is just another example that shows the president’s health-care law isn’t going to work. Just last month the administration announced the delay of the employer mandate, and now it has come to light that the administration is going to also delay caps on out-of-pocket insurance costs. Therefore, not only are Americans still subject to the individual mandate to purchase health insurance or pay a penalty, but they must also cover expensive out-of-pocket costs because the administration has decided to give insurance companies another year to come into compliance and cap such costs. Companies seem to be getting a reprieve from its burdensome requirements while hard-working American families are left alone to navigate the complicated system and either pay fines or pay for health insurance that has skyrocketed due to the health-care law. While I will continue to work to repeal this flawed law in its entirety, at the very least the president should join us in delaying it for all Americans, not just a chosen few.”
