U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) issued the following statement after the House Republican Conference voted for Rep. Paul Ryan to become the next speaker of the House of Representatives:  

“Throughout his time in the House, Paul Ryan has proven time and again that he is a thoughtful leader who understands how to advance conservative policies that make our country a better place to live, work, and raise a family. As a friend and a colleague, I was proud to support him and vote for him to be the Speaker of the House. I am confident that under Paul Ryan’s leadership, the House will make progress on the issues that are important to the American people.”
