Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03), Vice Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, sent a letter to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commissioner John Koskinen regarding further explanation on potential impacts of implementation of the flat tax. “During a recent House Small Business Committee hearing, Commissioner Koskinen and I discussed the flat tax and how it would affect the budget and staffing needs of the IRS. I look forward to reading Commissioner Koskinen’s response to my questions so when tax reform discussions are happening, this analysis could be useful in bringing verifiable information to the debate,” wrote Luetkemeyer. |
