U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) issued the following statement after President Trump issued an executive order to roll back the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule.

“Missourians, across the state, can take a deep breath knowing the Administration recognizes that WOTUS is an attack on individual property rights and is an encroachment on the rights of states to regulate the waters within their borders,” Luetkemeyer said. “Today’s announcement starts the process to roll this burdensome rule back and reverse the EPA’s wrongdoings from the previous Administration.”

Luetkemeyer has cosponsored and voted numerous times on legislation that would overturn the WOTUS rule in previous Congress’s.
