U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) issued the following statement following the recent release of footage from a National Abortion Federation conference:

“The recently released video of Planned Parenthood physicians discussing dismemberment abortions is appalling and we cannot sit by and continue to let these actions continue,” Luetkemeyer said. “Following the conclusion of the House and Senate investigations into fetal tissue trafficking, numerous abortion providers and procurement businesses were referred to the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as state authorities, for criminal review. However, more action is needed. Earlier this year, I introduced the Protecting Life and Integrity in Research Act which targets the horrific practice of trafficking infant body parts for profit and ensures taxpayers never have to foot the bill for the endangerment of human life. I will continue to push for this important legislation to make it to the House floor immediately.”
