WASHINGTON, D.C. – This morning, Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO) released the following statement regarding the death of terrorist leader Qassem Soleimani:   

“For too long, Iran has been supporting terrorism and suppression across the Middle East. Qassem Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American troops, thousands of innocent people around the world, and was behind potential future Iranian attack plans. I’m grateful our Commander in Chief has shown the leadership needed to eliminate this threat to the world and for the bravery of our nation’s military who executed this mission and continue to keep us safe.”
