Luetkemeyer Expresses Concern Over Democrats’ Partisan Wish List

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing on the HEROES Act, the Democrats’ partisan wish list. This bill is the most expensive spending package in United States history and includes provisions that would place costly burdens on small businesses and incentivize workers to stay home. Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) expressed serious concern regarding how the Committee spends its time due to the fact that the Majority held a hearing on a bill that has no chance of becoming law.

“We’re talking about a bill that has already passed the House. It is a socialist wish list, as indicated by one of the Members on the other side of the aisle…

“These are partisan bills that have gone without any input from [Republicans]. This committee continues to go down that track versus trying to find ways to be bipartisan to find solutions.”
