Luetkemeyer on Passage of the Water Resources Development Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) released the following statement regarding House passage of the 2020 Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) which included several Mid-Missouri priorities.

“As the Representative of an area that is home to thousands of miles of shoreline, it is always important to me that Third District priorities are included in WRDA to ensure our infrastructure needs are being met, especially after the historic flooding and devastation Missouri experienced in 2019. By investing in our water resource infrastructure, we are not only able to better protect our communities from flooding, but grow our economy and protect jobs as well,” said Congressman Luetkemeyer.

“This year, the Third District could benefit from numerous provisions in this bill including authorization for the Upper Mississippi River Comprehensive Plan, the Lower Missouri Basin Flood Risk and Resiliency Study and the Lower Osage Feasibility Study. I thank the Republican Leader of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and fellow Missourian, Sam Graves for his hard work for our state and dedication to this important bill.”
