“After one of the most trying years in American history, the state of our union continues to improve. Children are back in school, more Americans are being vaccinated every day, and businesses are helping to heal our economy,” said Luetkemeyer.

“In order to return to the historic economic success experienced before the pandemic, the government should be stepping aside to allow the American People to finish the job. Unfortunately, what the President laid out tonight is just the opposite. Higher taxes, more government control, and less individual and economic freedom threatens our fragile economy at the worst possible time and will devastate small businesses who are just getting back on their feet. Our country is getting stronger every day. The President needs to do everything in his power to help it continue.”
