Luetkemeyer on 2023 National Defense Authorization Act
Washington,
December 8, 2022
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-03) released the following statement regarding passage of the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). “Funding our military is one of Congress’ most fundamental responsibilities, providing our hardworking troops with the resources they need keeps us safe. This year’s NDAA makes necessary investments in weapons and defense systems along with a 4.6% pay raise for our servicemembers and expanded housing allowances to help military families - who sacrifice so much already - cope with the effects of inflation,” said Luetkemeyer. “One provision I am especially proud of is the end of the Department of Defense vaccine mandate for active duty, reserve, and national guard personnel which inexplicably ended the careers of military members who chose to make their own medical decisions.” |
