U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-3) is extremely pleased to announce that President Obama today signed into law a bill designating the new Interstate 70 bridge connecting St. Louis to southwestern Illinois as the “Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge.”

“I am extremely pleased that the president signed into law legislation in remembrance of our veterans and Stan Musial, one of St. Louis’s baseball greats,” Luetkemeyer said. “Watching Stan Musial play baseball was always a special part of summer and I’m glad we are able to honor his legacy and commitment to the people of the St. Louis area as well as recognize the service and sacrifice of all of America's veterans.”

Luetkemeyer co-sponsored the legislation (H.R. 2383) introduced by Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL).
